Halloween Candy for our Troops in Afghanistan

Dear parents,

In the Akron Beacon recently there was an article I want to bring to your attention.  Some local dentists are paying children $1 a pound for Halloween candy so they may collect enought to send to the troops in Afghanistan.  What a cool way to unload that candy!  I know when my daughter was in Afghanistan last year (she is a captain in the Army and a Physical Therapist) she enjoyed those surprise packages and shared them with all the troops and the kids she visited in the hospital. I think this is a great idea to help our troops and share some of that trick or treat candy I know the kids will get a bushel of!!!  Here are the locals you can drop your candy off at:

Michael Mead:   12981 Cleveland Ave., Uniontown from 3-5 on Tuesday.

Tom and JoAnn Semans: 2660 W. Market St, Suite 200 Fairlawn from 5-6:30 on Thurs.

Bryan Terume Jr.:  4579 Everhard Rd., Canton from 2-5 on Thurs., Nov.3

The dentists will take up to 5 pounds a child….Good way for them to earn money and help our troops!
